These are the first steps once Data Orchester is installed and you can sign in. Installing it and the first sign-in are on the download page.
Minimum initial configuration
To get something running end to end:
- Add your first module — the connection to a device: a Modbus master, an OPC UA client, a Siemens S7 client and the like, which reads the device's values and writes back to it.
- Map what it reads and writes to variables, the values your program and dashboards work with.
- Confirm data is flowing on a dashboard before building anything more elaborate.
A peer is another DataOrchester: add one when a second installation — a site and its control room — should exchange values, commands and history with this one. See Connectivity.
